Thank you for your excellent 2024 recommendations! I noticed links to Amazon. Could you include resources for independent booksellers? For example, Indie Bookstore Finder with urls for local bookstore searching/ordering options https://www.indiebound.org/ and https://bookshop.org/ that supports local, independent bookstores? Thank you!

Jumping in to add libro.fm is a great place to get audiobooks that supports indies too. And if it's an affiliate income thing, bookshop.org gives ten percent to affiliates, much better than Amazon!

No books written by Latino authors among those 12? Is this selection including a fair share of authors of color? Whose viewpoints and how-tos do we keep reading and following?

Try to approach life with an additive mindset instead of a diminishment mindset. This person took the time to give you wonderful book recommendations and your only response was "why no Lations"

Hi, Valeria. As a Latino, I hear you. I took the time to review author bios, and gleaned quite a bit from the fabric of diversity that each appear to thread into this mix. From different races and ethnic backgrounds, to personal experiences and religious beliefs. And that’s just from what was shared in the bios.

I've found Goodreads very helpful to find if the ideas in these type of books apply only tech people without kids whose partners are doing all their domestic work or not, you may have similar luck finding diverse viewpoints. Is there an upcoming book by a Latino in this space you would recommend?

Finally a book on flourishing. I have been dealing with this on and off for several years. And no one really understands what it is.

A book a month, yes that can happen. But, which order, which one(s) might be outdated towards the end of 2024 so much changes so fast.

Great to see that Carl Newport has a new book coming up. I really enjoyed Digital Minimalism and it did help me reframe my use of social media (not heavy, but definitely quite distracting) and how and where I spend my time online. I'm sure Slow Productivity will be a good read.

Great list! March jumps out at me as I have flashbacks of silently cursing google classroom as I try to get a Chromebook to cooperate and help my six year old come off mute while simultaneously working for Accenture. No pressure. 😅I don’t miss those days but curious to hear how much 2020 played a role. Go Blue!

Very helpful and hopeful new ideas!

Is it OK to offer another new idea and practice for an evolved leadership call Ed We the Leader in capsulates in a book of that title published by McGraw-Hill?

This unique and proven process evolves leadership with these 3 new ideas and proven practices.

1. Contrary to prevailing leadership dogma, it is impossible to lead others, yet together, we can lead teams, projects, and organizations into consistent collective flow, that 'WOW! We did it. Again!!' experience.

2. We lead together by redefining organizations, teams, etc. to what they actually are, communities of equal, different and vital leader-followers.

3. Communities of leader-followers lead together by leading and following in the same action via a curious conviction™.

Hi Adam, great list. We are also expected a new third edition of The Solutions Focus in May. After 22 years, it's a real classic :-)

Thank you for this fascinating list. On “thinking and deciding,” my mind is ringing after reading THE MINDFUL BODY by the remarkable Ellen Langer, who mentions you were one of her students!
