Extraverts get energy from interacting with other people, but so do introverts. The difference is that introverts get overloaded more easily. Wherever you stand on that spectrum, it’s worth paying attention to what kinds of social situations energize you and which ones exhaust you. Here’s my graph:

One other time I love meeting strangers is when they send emails with interesting questions about work and psychology. So here are my thoughts on three of your questions from this month and resources on seven others:

  • Should we only bring people onto our team who are passionate about the mission or purpose?

  • How risky is it to hire people who have experienced major failures in their careers?

  • How can I find my calling?
